Wow blackwind descent mount12/17/2023 ![]() While he is awake it is no longer possible to roam freely. Vaelastraz will now stay awake for exactly 60 minutes before he dies and despawns for 12 hours. After a brief cut-scene the fight begins. Before the fight, Vaelastraz is sound asleep and everyone can roam freely in the room. Vaelastraz the corrup is the 2nd boss in Blackwing Lair right after Razorgore the Untamed. Note that razorgore teleports players that are out of his AoE range for a while.Ī guide for Vaelastraz the Corrupt in Blackwing Lair. In case mana is too drained to form teams quickly, all healing shall be focused on the MTs while DPS heals itself with bandages. The 2 teams with the highest Mana after the Egg phase begins healing the MT while the other 2 regen. Position of the 2 tanks is 90° (not 180°).Īll DPS stands behind Razorgore to avoid the conflag. Every now and them Razor casts a frontal AoE conflag that temporarily wipes all aggro on the current tank, swithing it to the offtank. The MT tag team builds aggro on razorgore. We use that to position razor immediately in a good spot and to bring him to the MT tag-team. Once all eggs are down, the primary orb user will have a lot of aggro from Razorgore and he will come straight after him. They should not take damage during the egg phase at all. They place themselves below the orb right from the start and destroy eggs as fast as possible. Priest should use the CTRA aggro-gain announcer to be able to cast fade before the mob hits them. Also if they get hit, they can easily get some distance by jumping down the edge and running. From there they always have a LoS to all team members and especially the warriors roaming their corner currently (usually its 2 tanks you have to keep track of, yours and the one of the team accross the room who follows the same path as your warrior). Optimal position for them to be is the front corner of the platform on their side. The healers in each team keep their warriors always shielded and HoT'ed. Eventually all 55 mobs will be following the warriors and if all goes fine, they wont even take damage. The warrior(s) in each corner sunder (build aggro on) each dragonkin and legionaire in their corner and kite it between the two platforms (running up the stairs and jumping down in the middle front exploits the no-jump pathing of the mos and gets distance between warrior and his heat. They have to die ASAP until eventually only Legionaires and Dragonkin remain) His target are all Orc Mages in the corner. UsuallyĪ spokesperson for each team on TS announces spawns in the corners.Ī mage or rogue in each team is appointed Main Assist, Mages, Hunters and Rogues in the team will help kill his target. Really depends on how experienced your raid leader is.We split the raid into 4 teams. For experienced guilds they will blow through everything with little difficulty. Overall for a casual guild you can expect it to take a week or two to learn everything. Kiting skellies also has potential to go wrong. ![]() Class calls may take some getting use to for some players in your raid. If you don't properly LOS on pillars it's possible to overwhelm your healers if they're not playing conservatively on mana. Possibility to wipe.Ĭhromag: this fight is a pain to explain to inexperienced players. If your tanks are bad at coordinating taunt swaps aggro can be an issue. Potential to wipe.Įbonroc/flamegor: overall very easy bosses. Will have to see how threat mechanics work compared to pservers. Goblin sappers: this trash is notorious if your kiter has never done it before. Might take one wipe for your tanks to figure out positioning and taunt swaps. I can see 1-2 wipes happening on your first clear.įiremaw: overall a pretty easy fight. If you wipe here you need to reclear the entire suppression room which is a major pain in the ass. ![]() Broodlord hits very hard and your tanks will require mitigation gear meaning dps need to go extreme light to not aggro. Telling your dps not to aoe whelps immediately can be a pain. It takes experience to know where to stop and drink for your healers and requires some coordination between your raid. Suppression room: again if your raid leaders have never done BWL before this can be tricky. For a casual guild with inexperienced leadership I can see a wipe happening here. Trash: if you've never done BWL before this trash can be difficult. For a more casual guild it may be a bit of a pain convincing people not to over-aggro the 2nd tank. Depending on how fast you kill it you may need to do a tank swap. Might take casual guilds 1 or 2 attempts to assign dps to proper corners. Razorgore: with current dps shouldn't be too much of an issue.
